What does Steurer GmbH's privacy policy look like?
Steurer GmbH takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We would be happy to inform you in this privacy policy about the principles and methods with which we protect your privacy and to inform you about how we deal with the data you provide to us.

What is to be considered regarding personal data?
Generally, you can use our website without disclosing your identity. If you register for a personalised service such as our sending you information or a subscription to the newsletter, we need your name and other personal information, as we can not provide the desired service without this information. We only collect the information that is necessary to fulfil your request. It is your decision whether you take advantage of this service and enter your data for the aforementioned purposes.

How do you ensure the safety of my data?
If you submit your credit card or bank account information, we use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). This method encrypts your data during transmission to us via the Internet. The lock icon on the lower status bar of your browser indicates that SSL is active.

Do you disclose my personal information to third parties?
We process and use your personal information only within our company. There is no disclosure of your information by sale, lease or exchange. If we pass data for order fulfilment on to external service providers (order-related data processing), these providers are of course bound by the provisions of the German Federal Data Protection Act, other data protection regulations and the privacy policy presented here.

Are there exceptions regarding limited data disclosure to third parties?
Insofar as we are required by law or court order, we will transfer your data to authorised government or private entities. In addition, we reserve the right to disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent if this should be necessary to defend ourselves against attacks that constitute a criminal offence, or which are likely to prevent or otherwise affect the functionality of our website.

How do I exercise my legal right to revocation and deletion?
If you have provided us with personal information, you may naturally revoke it at any time; we will delete your data immediately. The "Contact" menu item on our home page can also be used to withdraw your consent to the collection, processing and use of your personal data in future. The personal data that you have provided will then be deleted. Also, you can contact us by telephone and ask for the deletion of your personal data. Data for billing and accounting purposes are not affected; their deletion depends on the periods defined in the TMG (German Telemedia Act). Insofar as we are legally obliged to store the data, the data will not be deleted, but disabled; i.e. it will still be available on our systems, but will no longer be used or processed by us.

Do you use cookies?
"Cookies" are small files that allow us to save information related to you, the user, on your PC while you are visiting one of our websites. Cookies help us to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of our websites, as well as to make our offers as agreeable and efficient as possible for you.
On the one hand, we use "session cookies", which are stored only for the duration of your use of our website. On the other hand, we use "persistent cookies" to record information about visitors who repeatedly access one of our websites. The use of cookies is intended to provide you with the best possible user experience, as well as to "recognize" you and to present you with a website that is as interesting as possible and with up-to-date content during repeated use. The collected data is automatically transferred by your browser, such as the type of browser, service provider and IP address. Additionally, we record an individual neutral user ID. We use the data collected in cookies only in anonymous form. We do not create an individual profile of your online activities. Of course, our site can be used without cookies. In your browser, you can deactivate the storing of cookies, limit them to selected sites or set your browser so that it notifies you as soon as a cookie is being sent. It is possible that you will have to be content with a limited presentation of each page and with limited user guidance in this case.

What should I know about links to other Internet sites?
Our website contains links to other external websites (note: external link). We are not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of these sites. Please inform yourself before making use of other offers using their privacy policies.

What else should I know?
The following is some information that does not involve the topic of privacy policies in the strict sense, but which is important for the use of our services and is associated with privacy policies.

Children and adolescents under 18 years should not send any personal information to us without the consent of their parents or guardians.

Spam blockers
Some Internet providers use so-called spam filters to automatically block all messages sent to the e-mail addresses of their users that seem to be spam (unsolicited messages / mass advertising). If you order a newsletter from us, it may happen that this is registered as spam by such filters and does not reach your mailbox. However, these settings can be changed in your browser or directly via your Internet provider so that you will receive the information you have ordered. Simply ask - we would be happy to help you.

Do you have any more questions?
We would be happy to help you if you have any questions, suggestions or comments about our privacy policy. Please contact us by e-mail. You can also get information about your personal data that we have saved.
The rapid technological development of the Internet and the associated legal changes make it necessary to adapt our privacy policy from time to time along with the changing technical and/or legal circumstances. We will inform you about any additions or updates - you should call up our privacy policy from time to time so that we can keep you up to date on possible changes.
